God’s Timing Is Always Right

A Case For George Floyd

If you look at what’s taking place from a spiritual perspective you’ll find that God’s timing, as per usual, is always right. What do I mean? Currently we are still dealing with a pandemic. A pandemic that has seen many lose their jobs while others are seeking answers to what may come next. Current unemployment is at an all-time high.

Most celebrities are out of work and most athletes are not participating in live sports. Then on top of current struggles, we witness yet another senseless act of unnecessary force on a black man at the hands of a rouge police officer.

This act of violence captured on camera leaves no doubt, no wiggle room for anyone to say anything other than this an unprovoked murder that did not have to happen. Charges should have been brought immediately not just against the one officer whose knee ultimately brought Mr. Floyd to his death but for all the officers that participated or stood watching and did nothing.

With everyone at home due to the pandemic, all eyes have seen this tragedy. Not just in America where this tragedy took place but worldwide. And because most are out of work there is a greater freedom to express oneself that never existed before.

There is no fear of losing a job for speaking out because there is no job. There is less fear for an athlete or celebrity to speak out because their respective industries are on hold. So we’re witnessing more and more individuals expressing their outrage over the injustices that have existed for generations. We’re seeing all nationalities, all colors, all races, all ethnicities, all genders, all humanity speaking out.

We’re seeing this take place in the form of protests on the streets of many cities in America as well as many cities around the globe. We’re seeing this take place on social media from Billie Eilish slamming “white privilege and “All Lives Matter on her instagram to an essay from former president Barack Obama on How to Make this Moment the Turning Point for Real Change on Medium.

This time of greater expression on incidents of inequality has led to a much heightened and sustained sense of urgency that has never been afforded our nation before.

The time to make the necessary changes that will affect future generations is now while the world is watching, while God is watching.
